For nearly 2 years, I have dreamed of having a Fuji kyoudai shrine
but unfortuantely fate kept conspiring against me. *shakes fist*
Why a shrine to the Fuji Kyoudai? Who the heck are the Fuji kyoudai?
And what exactly is their relationship?
To those who ask, why, I say why not! No, seriously, Yuuta is my favorite
character and I find his relationship with Syuusuke just fascinating. For me,
it's one of the most compelling aspects of Prince of Tennis because it's so
fraught with tensions.
Fuji Yuuta and Syuusuke are brothers in the anime/manga series
Prince of Tennis (Tennis no Oujisama) created by Konomi Takeshi.
Yuuta goes to St. Rudolph's, one of the rival schools and Syuusuke
plays on Seigaku, the team the series follows. Prince of Tennis aired on Wednesdays on TV Tokyo. The manga currently runs each
week in Shonnen Jump. When we're lucky, we get to see their interactions
and thoughts on one another.
Fuji Syuusuke is Fuji Yuuta's older brother. In my perverted fangirl mind,
they are much more than that. To me, Konomi Takeshi and the anime
have made plenty of hints that what the brothers feel towards one another
is much more than sibling affection. If you have a problem with this concept,
you should probably stop now and not visit anymore of this shrine.
